Review of the 2024 Show

in-cosmetics Global concluded on 18 April in Paris, achieving peak attendance with 12,939 unique visitors, a 14.8% increase from 2023.

Uniting top-tier suppliers, creators, and thought leaders from around the world, the event facilitated nearly 200,000 connections over three days. This gathering brought the industry together to drive progress and innovate based on scientific advancements.

With a packed educational programme and the largest exhibitor event to date, featuring 1,028 personal care suppliers (a 13.1% increase from 2023) across two halls, the show saw repeat attendance reaching 22,866, highlighting the need for visitors to attend more than one day.

2024 had a record number of entries and high-calibre contenders for the hotly contested in-cosmetics Global awards, which are poised to establish this year as a vintage year for new launches.

With the three pillars of Science, Innovation, and Sustainability, visitors had the opportunity to discover new ingredients, explore emerging trends, and learn how to incorporate these elements into their future formulations.

The Innovation Zone, Make-up Bar, and Sensory Bar showcased the latest and most innovative ingredients, providing physical products for visitors to test and try.

Additionally, attendees had the chance to gain hands-on experience using these cutting-edge materials in the Formulation Lab, where leading experts guided them on new techniques and on-trend formulations.

Sustainability remained a central focus, transitioning from a trend to a necessity, with the Sustainability Zone serving as a central hub for the initiatives and innovations the industry is undertaking.

"Our key objective for visiting was ingredients sourcing and finding a formulation for our next product. There’s a good standard of people here, and the show is useful for getting lots of samples and good contacts. It’s helpful for our brand. The amount of people here and the type of people are the right people. We’ve had a couple of good meetings so far which have generated good leads. I’d describe the event as open and collaborative."
