APAC’s fragrance boom takes centre stage

What’s next in fragrance?

The Asia Pacific fragrance ingredient market is expected to grow by almost 38% within the next 4 years to US$ 6.9 billion by 2030*, with cosmetics and toiletries applications leading with a 42% market share*.

Fragrance in APAC was historically seen as functional, not identity-driven.

But things are changing.

Younger consumers now embrace it for mood and self-expression and innovation is favouring personal care.

Thank you to our Fragrance Zone Advisor:

Yves André Dombrowsky is a well-recognised, French-trained perfumer in Australasia, and his previous experience also includes work as an environmental microbiologist and building health engineer. Over the last 25 years, Yves has become New Zealand’s premier perfumer, serving the vast majority of the local cosmetic market, as well as local celebrities, fashion designers and jewellers. His work extends to neighbouring Australia and is reaching a global audience through his state-of-the-art perfume selection approach. This method was created in his quest for aura perfumery surrounding a product, engaging unconscious messaging via archetyping and deep cognitive interaction.
