New breakthrough to reverse hair greying

Free radicals play a critical role in hair whitening, leading to decreasing melanogenesis in hair follicle and shrinking of melanocytes pool. By deciphering the mechanisms involved in biological hair pigmentation, we designed Darkenyl™, a combination of molecules protecting hair follicle melanocytes from ROS, activating bulge stem cells enabling the pro-duction of new melanocytes and reactivating entire melanogenesis pathway.

Under oxidation-mediated hair greying conditions, we evidenced a global protection of melanocytes and activation of antioxidant defences related to reduction of ROS. At clinical level, volunteers showed significant hair repigmentation: more than 3 times less white hair within 4 months vs placebo.
