Raya has PhD in Computational Biology from the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel. She was the Royal Society Dorothy Hodgkin Fellow at Cambridge University, and has over 20 years of experience in Computational Cancer Genomics and Precision Medicine. She has lectured at the Universities of Cambridge, Edinburgh and Glasgow (UK). Since 2009 she has been an Associate Professor at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, NY working on the analysis of high-throughput genomics data in oncology. She has published in top journals, including Nature, New England Journal of Medicine, Proceeding of National Academy of Sciences, and has a citation index of over 9500. 

Inspired by the paradigm shift from “one size fits all” to Precision Medicine, Raya envisaged similar changes in wellness and beauty. In 2016, she co-founded LifeNome, a DNA-based wellness company, where she serves as Chief Science Officer. Raya’s mission is to bring advances of Genomics Sciences and Artificial Intelligence to the beauty and wellness industry to enable personalisation of products and services based on individual’s biology and lifestyle.
