Judi has been a passionate cosmetic formulator for her whole career and has spent much of the last 10 years sharing her knowledge of the rapidly evolving area of green formulation. Prior to that she spent a large chunk of her working life in the fragrance industry working on many innovation projects for major clients.

She gives lectures and workshops around the world for Ecovia Intelligence (formerly known as Organic Monitor). She also undertakes consulting for a number of international companies, small and large, in their quest to become greener. She has authored numerous book chapters, educational courses and trade journal articles in her career. Although now specialising in natural formulating, Judi has a broad scope of experience in cosmetic formulation, the fragrance industry, innovation and business development. Particular capabilities include knowledge of the various certification bodies and their standards, plus an international network of industry contacts. She holds an MBA from the Open University Business School and is a Chartered Chemist.

Judi has given over a lot of her own personal time and energy to her honorary roles in the Society of Cosmetic Scientists UK. She was the President in 2008-9, is an Honorary Member and held the position of Honorary Treasurer and Council member for a fourth time finishing in May 2016. She is now turning her attention to the role of being Chair of the Steering Committee for the 32nd IFSCC Congress that will be held in London in September 2022.
