Arnaud Aubert has an academic education from the universities of Bordeaux (France) and Berkeley (USA). After a Master’s degree in Neurosciences and in Experimental Psychology, and a Doctorate in Behavioral Neurosciences, he specialized in the analysis of behavior and its determinants (e.g. motivation and emotion). His main areas of research are neuro-psychology and behavioral analysis, and during the last years, he focused on the study of positive emotions and well-being.

He is currently senior lecturer at the University of Tours and the co-founder of Emospin, a consulting agency specialized in the analysis of emotion and consumer behavior for various industrial sectors (e.g. cosmetics, food & beverage, design, transport) willing to innovate in the fields of sensory, emotions and well-being. Besides his positions at University and at Emospin, he also serves as a scientific expert for the French Ministry of Scientific Research.

He is the author or co-author of more than forty scientific book chapters or articles in international journals. Among noticeable rewards and distinctions, Arnaud Aubert won the price of the IPSEN Foundation (Fondation de France) in 1998 for his works on the effects of immune system on behavior, emotions and motivation. In 2009, he received with co-workers, from the American Society of Cosmetic Sciences, the Allan B. Black Award that recognized the best paper of the year on the subject of makeup technology.
