Sophie Catoire has a master’s degree in Cell Biology and Animal Physiology from the University of Paris XII. From 1998 to 2007 she worked as an In Vitro Cellular and Molecular Toxicology Technical Manager for PFIZER (Global R&D Centre) in France.

Sophie joined THOR Personal Care as a Cell biologist in 2008 to implement the new In Vitro Toxicology Laboratory in France (Headquarters of the Personal Care Business Unit of the THOR Group) and since 2013 has been In Vitro Toxicology Manager. Her responsibilities include research into testing with accepted alternative methods and developing further assays for the non-animal testing of a wide range of personal care and industrial products. Her expertise includes ocular and skin irritation as well as sensitisation.
