The description and the analysis of the skin radiance represent a challenging work. What can we consider as parameters characterizing the skin radiance? How to rigorously quantify these parameters? This presentation will be an overview of innovative technologies and methods recently developed in our laboratories to measure relevant parameters of the skin radiance. These quantitative approaches, targeted, global or complementary will be useful to support evaluation of cosmetic benefits of natural active ingredients acting on endogenous metabolism of cutaneous cells and improving the skin radiance.
